Calendar
For those brave souls who feel computer-literate enough, you can download the 2011 calendar and import it into MicroSoft Outlook by following the instructions below. If you have any problems call me (Chris Jerome) and I will walk you through it.
If you are importing an updated version of the 2011 calendar after previously importing an earlier version, check here for a list of calendar entries you will need to delete from your Outlook calendar after importing the new version following the instructions below (Note especially instruction #8).
- Right-click here to download the file (on some systems you may need to left-click instead). On the pop-up menu select Save link as... and save it to your desktop.
- Open Microsoft Outlook.
- On the menu bar at the top, select File, and then select Import and Export...
- In the Import and Export Wizard window that opens, select Import from another program or file. Hit the Next button at the bottom of the window.
- In the new window that opens, select Comma Separated Values (Windows). Hit the Next button at the bottom of the window.
- In the new window that opens, hit the Browse... button.
- In the Browse window that opens, go to the location where you saved the SWYC_2011.csv file and select it. Hit the OK button at the bottom of the Browse window.
- Back in the Import a File window, you may want to select the option Replace duplicates with items imported if you are importing an updated version of the calendar file (also see note below). Hit the Next button at the bottom of the window.
- In the new window that opens, scroll to and select Calendar. Hit the Next button at the bottom of the window.
- In the new window that opens, hit Finish.
The data in the file should be loaded into the Microsoft Calendar, and you should see all the SWYC calendar events in your usual Calendar views.
Note: When you import an updated file, you may end up with some entries from a previous version still in your Outlook calendar, even if you use the Replace duplicates... option. The old entries will need to be manually deleted.
