As Bill Brown and his crew Pat Sasson will not toot their own horn, we will do it for them. They did the SWYC proud at the Pelican Fleet 111 race off Camano island last Saturday, with shifty winds and and tricky currents and competing in a fleet of fifteen, they came second overall out of four races WELL DONE!*! The Inflatable Safety boat is now being overhauled and repaired. We are lucky that we have this quality Zodiac which is in fine condition.__________________________________________________________________________________
On Friday the 26th The Pelicans were on the water again in Holmes Harbour providing sailing experiences for 10 more young people. The weather was ideal with a light breeze which enabled the skippers to hand over the sailing to the youngsters. they tacked and jibed, played pursuit and pirates. It was an enjoyable time for all and probably concludes this seasons youth sailing. Ed and his Pelicaneers have done the SWYC proud in delivering this program and following through on an important part of our mission. It provides a strong springboard for future involvement. Congratulations
